Blue Mountain Summer Camp 2013

Time for Summer camp snuck up on us this year and before we knew it, there we were.  Dan was doing Advancement, Toten Chip Cards, Indian Lore, American Heritage, Safety, Fingerprinting and Chess.  Yes that's right Chess.  What an awful thing for Dan to have to teach in his area, right? LOL What a dream job!

I had a great time being a Commissioner and meeting new troops, spending time with loved friends and making new friends.  Here I am with some of them putting up the camp signs.

Towards the end of the week Jarell even joined us and helped out in the kitchen.  Thanks Julie for taking pictures and letting me borrow some.

A Door and a Bell

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of the final touches of the playhouse.
We made curtains
Put in a shelf
And put on a doorbell.  The black cast iron hook belonged to my Grandma Van Leuven.
I found the bell at the Pharmacy.  Ready for visitors!

Building a Playhouse Part 4

The play house is painted on the inside and has a door.  We painted the ceiling an offwhite and the walls a light blue, with dark blue for the trim and the ceiling under the loft.
It looks pretty good.  Jarell dragged a twin size mattress out and spent the night.  It stayed pretty warm with a little space heater that only had to turn on a couple of times. Nice.
