Building a PlayHouse

 Our nephew and niece are building a new house just around the corner, and we are so excited for them.  Cory said we could use some of the scrap lumber from their house if we wanted to, so we decided to build a playhouse by the swings.  It's crazy how much lumber is thrown out from building a house.  We figured we would have to at least buy some of the 2 x 4's, but we were able to frame the whole thing with scraps! 

 Originally I thought it would be a fun place for the grandkids to play, but the teens are already making dibs on who is going to sleep out there first!

We have it all framed and sided now. Roofing to come soon!

Dan's Dream is Finally Reality

Dan has been working for about 11 years writing a book. He joined a writer's group and did a lot of editing and proofing and hoping that one day it would actually get published. After a lot of hard work the books arrived this week! It finally happened! Hurray!!!!!

Feeding the Baby Elk

One of Jayd's friends is tending a baby elk. It is from an Elk farm. Jayd went with her to help. What an awesome experience!
